Just when you think it can’t get any more surreal…
I was on the phone a couple of hours ago with the journalist from San Luis Obispo in California when he stops in the middle of a sentence and says that he has to go. He thinks they’re having a bit of an earthquake.
He called back 10 minutes later to say that it was over, including one aftershock. At first he thought someone had grabbed the back of his chair and was rocking it, but when he turned around there was no one there.
SLO is between LA and San Francisco, not prime earthquake territory, though they had a bad one there last year. Today’s quake was a 6.0. No reports of damage or injury anywhere yet.
