The Dutch edition of The Road to the Dark Tower will be published in April 2005. I had my first contact with the publisher today when they e-mailed me to ask for an author photo for their catalogue. I hope to see the cover soon.
Hank Wagner, co-author of The Stephen King Universe reviewed Road in this week’s issue of the Hellnotes newsletter. So far, all the pro reviews have been very positive. A couple of disgruntled readers, though, have given me 1 star on Amazon. Did I mention that Publishers Weekly gave me a nice review? You can read it on Amazon if you’ve a mind to.
Last night’s episode of Lost was excellent, as we learned much more about Charlie’s background and he got to come into his own on the island. I’m hoping that we learn more about chain-smoking Sawyer next week. The writing on this show, as I’ve said countless times before, is stellar.
I don’t want to talk about the election any more. Isn’t one of the great things about election day supposed to be the fact that it’s all over and we don’t have to talk about it any more?
Must say, I’m loving Lost. I do still miss Alias, but Lost is definitely filling the gap. I got an Oasis vibe from Charlie’s band story, right down to the lead singer brother being called Liam.
Yes and yes!
BTW – do you think you can tell Merry and Pippin apart yet?
Uh, no, I’m afraid not yet.
