It is a tall order, but I think with a little more preparation, doable. 1700 words a day is about an hour or two's work for me. I write from 5:30 to 7:00 am before going to my day job, a time that is least intrusive on the family life. The secret for me is to have a pretty good idea of the whole story so that each day is spent setting it down. I'll be writing more about that later on in today's LJ entry.

Ah, so that's what NaNoWri Mo is! 50,000 within the space of a month is a tall order; how on earth do people fit that around jobs and family etc? ~smiles~ I won't be participating this year, as I'm too busy trying to complete the first draft of "Tamsin".

NaNo is rewarding and fun. This will be my third year participating, and I wouldn't miss it. As long as I can type and want to write fiction, I think I'll enjoy the NaNoWriMo.

I've got to check out that Lost Parody when I go online tomorrow. I've heard it's great.
