I see, said the blind detective played by a famous writer

I’m getting near the end of this round of revisions. Forty manuscript pages left to reread. Silly me, I thought I’d do the final read-through in one weekend. (Actually, I thought I’d get it done in one day.) I’ve made some fairly dramatic changes to the manuscript in the last three weeks. It’s definitely trimmer— I just hope it’s faster paced than the original.

Big Brother All Stars: Janelle pulls it out again. With a little bit of help this time, but still. Poor wussy James complaining that he lost a tug of war with her. Sure, she might have been zealous in wrestling that doll from him, but geez.

We’ve had a couple of nice rainstorms in the past 24 hours. Guess I can take a break from watering the lawn. I set the sprinkler in the back yard on Sunday afternoon, and the minute I turned the tap on, it started to rain. So I went back and turned it off. The instant the sprinkler fell quiet, the rain stopped. Someone up there is messing wit’ me.

Peter Straub asked me to spread the word that he’ll be reprising his role as “Pete Braust” on One Life to Live on an episode that will air on September 21st. Check it out!
