I don't know about anyone else, but I love having breakfast for dinner at any time! Although I'm ashamed to admit we forgot today was Mardi Gras. :(

Grew up in OK then later in KS. First picking of sweet corn meant we were eating ear after ear of roasted corn. Fresh tomato, cukes, and any other veggie that was abundant hit the table that night but it was mostly corn I remember. Fresh, crisp and sweet. During campouts at the lake the "men" always had the all night fishing marathon and next evening it was catfish fry and cold watermelon.
Living here in IN our sons and the scout troop fried smelt (some with cajun seasoning) at our local "Feast of The Hunter's Moon". Damn now I'm hungry. During the KS years....calf frys, for those that enjoy them. I liked them as long as I didn't have to cook them.

Yep, that's the one. Looks very dull. The publisher not only sent me the ARC, but also the hardcover and paperback as well. How'd they know I was a completist??

Is that the one by the Finnish researcher? I have to admit it's still sitting on the floor next to my desk, too. In hardcover AND paperback.

Well, it does sound interesting and of course I'll be buying a copy for my collection. It sounds a lot more interesting than that Disecting Stephen King book which I didn't even bother reading.

It's interesting. They also track the science-fictional predecessors of much of what King uses in his books. The first stories involving time travel or alien invasion, for example.

I'd ask for a review copy of The Science of SK but the book sounds like it'll go right over my head.
