So, is Brenda Leigh Johnson entering menopause? That would be my diagnosis. Last night’s episode of The Closer was pretty transparent. It was obvious from early on that the murder victims weren’t killed by rivals but instead by someone they knew.
I watched the first episode of Torchwood last night, Everything Changes. I like Eve Myles as PC Gwen. It’s obvious they’re trying to cast her as a companion, though she’ll probably never get to go anywhere fantastic. Introducing Captain Jack and Torchwood through her eyes was a terrific decision. Some good gags with the alien technology and the obligatory male kiss. Looking forward to watching the rest of the first season.
I finished revisions on Popup Killer and sent it back in to the editors this morning. Got the green light and a contract is on its way. Time to move on to the next project, a short story I’ve been cogitating over for a few weeks now.
Agreed on THE CLOSER.
It seems time has caught up with Brenda Lee.
BTW… what a great show this is.
I do hate it when they do the more comedic episodes (like the whole Haz Mat thing a week or so ago), but they shine when they do eps such as the one about the little girl being kidnapped and Sgt. Gabriel beating the confession out of the suspect.
Still…
Now that CRIMINAL MINDS is losing Mandy Patinkin, THE CLOSER is one of the better things on TV.
I’m not that upset that Patinkin is leaving Criminal Minds (and wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t a 12th hour resolution to their debate, either). Criminal Minds is an ensemble, and the loss of one person won’t seriously wound the show, even if Patinkin is the marquee name. What I didn’t care for was the finale of last season where the new member of the team was tasked with destroying the team leader (I’m bad with the character names). That seemed like an all-to-common theme for the series shows last year. The Unit ended on much the same note.
Are they showing Torchwood anyplace in the US?
I think it’s coming to SciFi in a few months.
