According to E-Online, ABC has canceled Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy Money. The report says that Pusing Daisies will end after episode 13, a cliffhanger. The creative people are looking at other options to complete the story, such as comic books or film.
Eli Stone is the only show of the three that I watch—I’ll miss it.
TV always seems to cancel the shows Wes and I love best. I have fond, fond memories of Moonlight, Brimstone, and Prey, among others. ::hmph::
Nicole & I watched all 3 of those shows. We both adored Pushing Daisies, and she loved Eli Stone & Dirty Sexy Money. I’d say that all 3 are victims of the writer’s strike, with their first seasons being so interrupted or abbreviated that they never really had a chance to build on their strong openings.
That sounds just about right to me — they were all shows that started late, got interrupted and then went on long hiatuses. I started watching Pushing Daisies but grew tired of it. Eli Stone had me hooked from the beginning though, which is interesting because I’m not at all spiritual, in that show’s sense. I’ve never seen an episode of Dirty Sexy Money and nothing about the commercials made me want to.
I’m not surprised by two of these shows. Pushing Daisies especially. I love that show but it is one of those shows that people don’t always appreciate and I absolutely adore(ex. Dead Like Me). Eli Stone is another show I enjoy but won’t be too sad to see it go.
Dirty Sexy Money surprises me though, it seems like a show that Americans would latch onto. I have never watched it but I can see it being one that people enjoy. Apparently not though.
