  • An awful lot of big names for a flick that can make no $$$ ??? ??? ???
  • Definitely bringing on some big guns!
  • Thanks for the update. They do appear to be calling in some big guns and pulling out all the stops.

I enjoy this story and will definitely be on the look out for this in 2005 at a film festival.
  • Due to scheduling conflicts Turtle Bay Entertainment and director Peter Schink have parted company on this project.

Turtle Bay is in talks with several major directors and will be making an announcement on Gotham's new direction in the near future.

This sort of thing happens all the time, so don't fear, this isn't doom, gloom and dispair...we're still on track and there will be news in the very near future. See the official web page for some other updates.

  • Glad to hear the optimistic tone in your 'voice' Bev. That means everything is still firmly on track, thank God  ;D

  • Just wanted to let everyone know we will be officially announcing Gotham's new director in the middle of next week.
  • Turtle Bay Entertainment is pleased to announce Joel Sadilek as director of Gotham Cafe. Production on the film will begin in September in Los Angeles.

Mr. Sadilek's biography can be found here

  • Haven't heard about Mr Sadilek before or seen any of the movies he's involved with. Must get around more doing some real movie watching instead of getting pampered by these big budget slick Hollywood productions.

I am sure Mr Sadilek is a great director and will do a good job. Congrats to the Gotham Cafe crew for finally finding a director again for the project. ;D
  • The Gotham Cafe team welcomes Bryan J. McMahon to the cast as the waiter (not the maitre d', lest there be any confusion).

Some of his credits are The Agency and The George Clooney Project, a Section Eight pilot for HBO. He is trained at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and is a professional cyclist in addition to being an actor.
  • Also in casting news, Denny Hankla, also of Beverly Hills Playhouse, will play the clerk. He jams with Miguel Ferrer's band the Jenerators, as well.
  • Gotham Cafe is being produced and edited with MACs. A big thanks to Steve Wozniak for enabling us to have the best technology in all aspects of the production.
  • There will be some casting changes to Gotham Cafe, for a variety of reaons.

First, they are going to lose Robert Axelrod, who is in the hospital and unable to shoot--We wish him a speedy recovery.

Secondly, it looks like Ingo is not going to be able to get time off from General Hospital, so recasting efforts are currently under way to find a new Steve.

More details as they become available. Shooting will still take place in September and the production crew is moving at light speed!
  • Dame Lee, rapper and star of Scary Movie 3, will be making a cameo appearance in Gotham Cafe.

  • Gotham Cafe is shooting September 13-19. These dates are firm. We will be announcing the new Steve and Humboldt in the middle of next week.
  • The parts of Steve and Humboldt have now been cast -- I'll have the official announcement in the coming day or two.
  • See the Gotham Cafe page for casting and production news.
  • New Steve is yummy :-*
  • The French chef will now be played by Endre Hules. Click his name to see all the places you've seen him before.
  • Watch Tech TV/G4 Channel tomorrow at 4PM Pacific Time. Gotham Cafe will be mentioned on the Screensavers program along with our website.

Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple computer and inventor of the personal computer, will be talking about how he became involved in the project.
  • Nick Heim, a recent USC graduate, is assisting with the production of the behind the scenes DVD for Gotham. See the Gotham page for other current news.
  • Peter Samet is the editor and co-producer of the Gotham Promo and Behind the Scenes featurette.
  • Wow - an awful lot of work going into a movie that few will ever see!
  • Kevin Brief appears in an episode of Will and Grace that will air on October 14th.
  • Congrats also to Cullen Douglas who shot an episode of the TV series Las Vegas

Cullen also has a benefit coming up:
