A Girl and Her Dog
Here's a strange one -- I submitted a story to a market a couple of months ago. I got a rejection letter for it yesterday but it was also an acceptance because the editor has two projects and he thought it a better fit for the other.
A lesson in persistence and finding the right market -- this story has been rejected over 20 times! (It has been revised a number of times since I first wrote it in 2013.)

Two things...
1) should it actually be "ACNI?" (still sounds the same, though😁)
2) one of the dogs at my workplace is called "Lucky".. oh, I'm going to keep my eye on that one in future.
