You Had Me At Goodbye
A brand new story, freshly submitted. I wrote this one for a themed Mystery Writers of America anthology. They have a certain number of invited contributors and about ten open slots for other MWA members to submit. The final selection will be made by suspense writer Harlan Coben. I've got my fingers crossed for this one--I like it a lot. It started out as a 6500 word story written completely in one afternoon and ended up as a 5500 word story after about five drafts. I had to stop revising or it was going to end up as a 10 word story, five of them in the title!
