Stephen King won't go to (Veronica) Mars
Veronica Mars' creator, Rob Thomas, said that next season there will be three mysteries, which will be broken up into nine, seven, and six episodes respectively. He also revealed that he offered EW columnist Stephen King the chance to guest-star on an upcoming episode as a kooky sociology professor. Unfortunately, King was busy.

Rob reveals that he approached self-proclaimed Mars fan Stephen King to play a "crazy sociology professor" in this season's third episode. Although the spookmeister was booked, he asked Rob to "keep me in mind for other things."
