  • I reread it last year? And did it on audiobook recently.
I just know I was exhausted just by descriptions of the Walk. I felt physically exhausted.

You will feel it here too. Ugh.

  • Yes to the long walk! It was fun hearing all the names that I was so familiar with even though characters were not as pictured in my mind.
Most of the dialogue was spot on to the book.
    Brutal? God yes - 😯

  • I thought The Long Walk hit the mark,  great performances, I honestly wasn't expecting much from it but it was pretty damn savage.

  • watched Vantage Point about an assassination attempt on the US president. From 2008. Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox, Forest Whittaker and William Hurt in the leads. One of those where you see the story from several different participants point of view. Actionpacked and totally OK but it is nothing new or original here. It was worth watching and in these days i always see that as a positive. Netflix. Also has Sigourney Weaver and Zoe Saldana in minor roles.

  • watched Along came a Spider with Morgan Freeman, Monica Potter and Michael Wincott in the leads. Based on a Patterson novel. Twists and turns and solid performances. Good, not great. Netflix.

  • .....caught this one and was pleasantly surprised....not only a decent watch, but I had no clue it was based on historical "fact"......

  • As a kind of tribute to Robert Redford i saw Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid today. Had totally forgot that Lurch from the Addams family has a small role. He plays Harvey Logan, a member of the gang. Still a good movie after nearly 60 years.

  • Watched Village of The Damned with Christopher Reeve, Kirstie Alley, Linda Kozlowski, Michael Pare and Mark Hamill in the leads. From 1995. One of John Carpenters lesser efforts i must admit but it has its moments. Reeves last movie before he had his paralysing axxident. Based on John Wyndhams book The Midvich Cuckoos but set in California instead of england. Its not like prime carpenter (Halloween, The Thing, Assault on Precinct 13, The Fog, Escape from New York and others) but its still Carpenter and so, in my world, worth watching. Had actually not seen this one before. Very busy period of my life working abroad where i did not do much excepr eat, work, sleep (I did go to an Michael Jackson concert in 1997 but thats an exception)

  • Watched Hunter Killer with Gerald Butler and Gary Oldman in the leads. A submarine movie combined with a seal ream movie. Basically rescue the russian president from his evil defence minister that wants to open WW3. Exactly why is never clear. Originality Zero. But as an action thriller it works as long as you dont think to much. So OK. Also it was fun seeing Michael Nyqvist (a swedish actor) playing a russian admiral. Except for Nyqvist the russian parts were actually played by russians which was a plus.

  • with a seal ream
....well now, that adds a whole new dimension to an "Action" movie.... :D :D :D :D

  • Watched Safe House with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds in the leads supported by Vera Farmiga and Brendan Gleeson. A spy story. A violent one about crooked agents trying to hide their crookedness. In the pack we have the Good Boy, The Bad Boy and The Disillusioned Boy. You can guess whos who. OK but not more.

We watched this last night. My wife, daughter and I attended Lilith Fair in either '97 or '98. It was a great day of music.

  • Watched The Sentinel with Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland supported by Eva Longoria and Kim Basinger. A mole in the secret Service involved in a plot to kill the US president. Solid without anything that really stands out. Worth watching.

    Rant here. I hate Netflix
Every other station comes in fine. Not Netflix - buffers and buffers and shuts off constantly.
Netflix does not have customer service.

Have I said this before? I don't know but I'm saying it again - I hate Netflix.

  • The Ring - stupid Netflix.
I never saw it, I always thought it was about a ring on your finger. It was okay.

  • Watched Signs (2002) with Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix in the leads.. A SF horror thriller. This was a bit before his movies made a nosedive. This is Ok, not more. It is no sixth Sense. It takes in a bit too much. Crop circles, alien invasions, a priest that has lost faith and the standard two kids thats gortta be protected and one of hem has astma.
