I had a misfortune happen to me today. When i got home from shopping and the door closed behind me the handlebar fell off on both sides of the door. So even though the door wasn't looked i couldn't get out. And since i live on the 8,th floor of a building getting out through a window was out (unless i wanted to make a pancake out of myself which i dont). I tried several phones but they were closed. At last i got hold of a person, not some animated voice, and tried to explain my situation and that i needed a person to fix the door. They, before they could help me, said they needed a byreaucratical number that was allocated to my apartment which noone else uses. What number i said, it is written outside your door they said, but i cant get outside my door which is the effing point i said, Until you have the number we cant help they said. I couldn't believe my ears. I finished the call and rang up a bit later and then, a more sensible person answered that they could fill in the number on the spot and called for the man without the number.  So i was locked in my own apartment for hours today. I hadn't planned to go out today so no disaster anyway but it is kinda scary to be locked in and knowing your cries for help isn't listened to.

Kurben! This is scary .  If this ever happens again or something similar, call emergency fire/ambulance/police to come help you. That’s their job. You get them involved, your management will catch hell and improve their communication and response.
