First, there’s the Boston Legal approach, where you wrap up all the loose ends and send the characters on vacation. Gone fishin’. Brilliant. (I liked Denny’s aside about using the same law firm on both sides to save on the costs of hiring guest stars, too). And then there’s the Criminal Minds approach, where you go out with a bang. Literally. I looked at the clock and realized there were only a few minutes left in the episode and I knew there was no way they were going to wrap this convoluted storyline up. As soon as they went all split-screen/montage, I knew what was coming. No fair! Now we have to wait months to find out who was in the SUV. Wah.
I made strong progress editing the novel over the past couple of days. I even did a chapter last night, which is unusual.
I was doing some loud yelling and griping to the husband last night when I saw that. My first comment was “That better not be Derek!” AND I love the play between Penelope & the NY tech. She was totally converted by the end.
I’m not terribly connected with any of the characters on the show. I think Reid is the one who would be the greatest loss as he’s pretty unique with his photographic memory and overall geekiness. I suggested elsewhere that it might be JJ because the actress is pregnant. But it might not be any of them — we didn’t see them all in vehicles, did we?
Yeah, every one went into a vehicle. So it could be any of them, or like you said, none – could be another black suburban.
My husband would be sorely upset if it was Reid. He is the main character that he likes in that show. That reminds me, I loved the comment that the old cop gave them “I see you brought your computer along” when referring to Reid.
I mainly love the play between Derek and Penelope.
I thought the cattiness of the females when observing Hotch with the British agent was funny this week. “He debriefed her in the past.”
I’m thinking it’s probably going to be JJ. I don’t think it will be Reid (whom I adore) or Derek (who is totally hot) and if it’s Penelope I will have an absolute fit! But those three would be a great loss to the show and I hate, hate, hate that we have to wait for the whole summer to find out who it is >:|
We’ll have to commiserate over a beer at NECon (in 55 days, but I’m not counting).
According to someone far more obsessed with the show than I am (Elizabeth Bear), there is no continuity between the SUVs we see the characters enter and the one that explodes. She also says that she has heard no reports of anyone leaving the show.
