NECON minus 2 and some plants

Way back in May I posted about the packet of seeds that came in Tori Amos’ CD The Beekeeper. I planted them in a clay pot and have diligently kept them watered throughout the driest June in recorded history in Houston and, I must say, they aren’t doing too bad. I have not the foggiest clue as to what they are, but the pot is full of thriving greenery. Here’s a photo taken last night:

If anyone recognizes any of these, feel free to comment. If you recognize something illegal, make sure you point out which ones you mean!

In other news, Cemetery Dance has just released the cover art for their edition of The Road to the Dark Tower. Here’s a small version of the cover, with illustration by Glenn Chadbourne, who I will be buying a beer for at NECON in a couple of days. Several, probably. Click on the photo to go to CD’s Road web page.

I just think it’s as cool as shit.

Addendum

I just listed a copy of the Centipede Press signed limited edition of ‘Salem’s Lot on eBay. It’s a real beauty. You know you want it.

You’re The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!
by C.S. Lewis
You were just looking for some decent clothes when everything changed quite dramatically. For the better or for the worse, it is still hard to tell. Now it seems like winter will never end and you feel cursed. Soon there will be an epic struggle between two forces in your life and you are very concerned about a betrayal that could turn the balance. If this makes it sound like you’re re-enacting Christian theological events, that may or may not be coincidence. When in doubt, put your trust in zoo animals.
