Forgot to mention that we actually went out to an actual cinema and watched a film on the big screen (first time for me since Star Wars III errrr VI, no, III — the last one…) to see Memoirs of a Geisha. It was a majestic film, with a few exquisite set pieces, a wonderful soundtrack with contributions from Yo Yo Ma and Itzak Perlman. A decent story, though unrelentingly grim for about the first 45 minutes.
