How do I get the white-out off the screen?

My goal for the weekend is to finish this revision pass on Ghost Inn. I’ll e-mail the manuscript to my agent when I’m finished, but I’ll also print it out and send it to him in hardcopy, as I get the idea he prefers to read things that way. Me, too. I’m an old fogey, I guess, but I don’t have a lot of patience for reading lengthy material online or on the computer screen. Which is sort of funny, given that I’m currently reading a 93,000-word manuscript on the computer screen. I guess I don’t mind editing on the computer, which is a different process than simply reading. I also edit differently when I sit with a paper MS and a pen than I do at the PC. I tend to make far more drastic changes when I can copy, cut, paste electronically. On paper, I tend to either line-edit or push paragraphs with arrows, but at the computer I de- and reconstruct entire sections.

I also have to watch C.S.I. and Grey’s Anatomy, both of which I taped last night. I’m thinking about trying out 24 this year. I’ve never watched an episode of it before. We’ll see.
