Destination: BBC

As I postulated yesterday, Doctor Who: Destination Prague won’t be coming out in March but rather in May, which was the original plan, way back when. We got a sneak peek at the cover today and this is going to be one gorgeous book, both outside and in. I’m really looking forward to this one. I have to write a 100-word bio for the book this weekend, and we may be getting rewrite notes within the next couple of weeks.

So, the Survivor promos were moderately misleading. The underprivileged team did not make a comeback, neither in the reward challenge nor in the immunity challenge. The health crisis is probably nothing more than some bruised/stretched chest muscles, and it sure didn’t slow him down when it came to the eating competition. And if I had been Sylvia and knew my head was on the block, I would have been hunting for that idol like there was no tomorrow, regardless of who might have seen me. The sand would have been flying, because by finding it she would have staved off elimination for at least one week, and funny things start to happen once someone is known to have the idol. I think Ravu is toast—they don’t have the gumption to wage a comeback like the group of four did last season.

Grey’s Anatomy went down the predictable path of visiting purgatory and staging a last-minute recovery, but I’m okay with that. I liked the purgatory scenes—especially that poor woman whose stomach wound kept re-erupting. That was classic. And as soon as they started working on Meredith’s mother, I knew where that was headed, too, and I couldn’t help but laugh. That was the last thing Meredith needed in purgatory, I thought at the time, but it worked out well, too. The only subplot I find tiresome at present is George and Izzie. They should kiss and make up and get on with things.
