RSS

I haven’t yet groked onto the world of RSS, but I understand it’s the bees knees and the greatest thing since sliced bread. Even my own personal message board offers an RSS feed, thanks to the most recent update from YaBB. The reason I mention this is that the RSS feed on Storytellers Unplugged has been broken for a little while but has now been fixed, so if you want to point your RSS thing-a-ma-bob at SU, have at it. My next post will be on Monday, where I get edgy and controversial. Yeah, right.

I started a 2000-piece jigsaw puzzle last night. It’s something we do around the house every now and then, especially when the whole family’s around. Sometimes we all work on it together while we talk, and other times one person will sit down at the table and plug away at it. This one is Times Square at night, with lots of lights and colors and a neat time-lapse section with streaked headlights. I did most of the border last night while watching Criminal Minds. A mediocre episode, I thought. Boston Legal from the night before was much more fun, with Denny and Alan suing the National Guard and then trying to sign up. John Laroquette has aged well and become a really good actor. I first noticed this when he did a guest appearance on House last year. A long way from his days as Dan on Night Court.

The temperature dropped about 20° during the day yesterday, and the rains continue. Just glad it isn’t snow or we wouldn’t be able to see out the downstairs windows. I’m on vacation for the next few days. My work schedule is really erratic for the rest of the year, with a few days off, a couple of days on, the long weekend, a couple of days on and then another long weekend. I think I will only be at my day job four days for the rest of the year, though I’ll still be checking in from home from time to time.
