…convention to go to this weekend. World Fantasy, to be exact. I’ll be hitting the road for Austin as soon as I’m done with my shoot/don’t shoot scenarios at the Citizen’s Police Academy tonight. Looking forward to it, though not the drive, which will get me to the city at or after midnight.
I wrote another 1300 words on my NaNoWriMo novel this morning. Not exactly a strong pace, but better than 0 words. I’m hoping to find some quiet time at WFC to write a little each day, but I’m not counting on it.
I received my executed contracts and payment for “Leap Second,” my Doctor Who story that will be in Destination: Prague next spring. Now I just have to figure out how to cash a £ check in an American bank.
Also received word today that Into the Dreamlands is slated for a January 2007 release from Simian Publishing. Early 2007 will be a productive period for me, with three anthology stories coming out, and my tale in Apex shortly thereafter.
Two decent episodes of serials last night. Both Jericho and LOST delivered good stories. I don’t hear many people talking about Jericho, though. Is anyone else still watching? We’re learning a little bit more about Hawkins each week, and I’m actually starting to like Jake a little more all the time. At least I can remember his character name now. It’s bad, when I’m calling the characters by the actor’s name. You know, the Pamela Reed character, and the Gerald McRainey character, etc.
Probably won’t be posting until my return from WFC on Sunday night.
