Two margaritas–just what I needed

I’m in Bossier City, Louisiana at present, which is part of Shreveport. I left the office at 1 pm and got here right at 5 pm in time for rush hour. One of my coworkers had told me the drive would take nearly six hours. MapQuest was more optimistic, predicting just under five. I did the speed limit all the way, because U.S. 59 is a favorite of state troopers and sheriffs, and I passed several en route, which made me glad for my discretion. I normally like to add about six or seven mph on the highway, but this time I stuck to a conservative two.

I didn’t have any lunch before I left. I planned to stop along the way, but every time I got to a place where I might pull off, I felt like continuing on. So, I was famished, of course. Went to a Mexican place across the street from the motel and ordered a margarita. The server delivered two—apparently during happy hour they don’t discount the price, you get two-for-one. If I didn’t have to go out to the airport and pick someone up in three hours, I might have been tempted, but for the first time I can recall I left a nearly full margarita behind.

Big Finish made the official announcement of Doctor Who: Destination Prague today. Ain’t it a beauty? Visit the web page to see the bios of all the people involved in this terrific project. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one so I can read everyone else’s efforts.

Tomorrow’s going to be a very interesting day. I’ll write about it…tomorrow!
