Ow

Got my flu shot today. Ow. That’s all. It didn’t hurt at the time (three hours ago), but it stings now.

Had a nice long chat with my agent today about the new project I’m going to start next week. He’s incredibly supported and very pleased that I wasn’t discouraged that Missing Persons didn’t spark any interest. I’m gratified that he sees potential in my writing and that he’s willing to help me through the next project and beyond, if necessary, until we find the right one.

I think I’m done with Pushing Daisies. I found myself doing six other things while it was on, even though I was nominally “watching” the show. Criminal Intent was pretty good. Minimal background characterization on the main team, and maximum focus on solving the crime. I really like the way they lead us down the path of expectations and twisted it around at the end.

I’m about 140 pages into Fatal Revenant. Liking the book, not liking this incarnation of Thomas Covenant. However, Covenant rarely was a likable guy. He’s just unlikable in a different/new way in this book, and until I find out why he’s acting like he is I reserve judgment.

This cool weather seems to be here to stay. Down to the 40s overnight. I hope it does stay—to get warm again would feel like a cheat.
