One for you, nineteen for me

It’s tax day. Do you know where your return is?

I’m a regular at one place, and one place only—the Brooklyn Cafe, which started out as a bagel shop and expanded to do more expansive breakfasts and lunches. It’s still the place to go to get NY-style bagels, and I go there almost every morning after I’m done writing and before I go to my day job. Over the years we’ve gotten to know a number of other regulars, so I posted a notice about my book signing on the bulletin board last week. This morning one of the other regulars said I should have a signing there. Quelle idée!

My scalded finger is slowly healing. I’m looking forward to the day when I can bend it more than 90° again. I could now, I suppose, but I’d rip the scab open. It’s between my index finger’s knuckle and the central joint, on the top side, which makes the skin very tight. I can still type and even play the piano. I just can’t make a fist. I guess that’s not a bad thing.

LOST is getting one extra episode and a two-hour finale. Because of scheduling, though, there will be a one-week gap before the finale, which will be on May 29th.

I watched Sunday night’s episodes of Eli Stone and Cold Case last night. I’m hooked on Eli Stone and I think the main character’s relationship with Maggie (Julie Gonzalo from Veronica Mars) is one of the cutest on teevee. Only one episode left in the season. I like the new guy on Cold Case, too, though I’m not sure if he’s meant to be a regular. He stirs things up, anyway. I still have Dexter to watch.

I wrote about my trip to see the three Kings for Cemetery Dance’s new MySpace blog. Check it out—it even has pictures. I’m in the third photo from the top, as are some other faces that you might recognize.

I finally got around to starting my revision of the recent novel. I don’t know why there was such an activation barrier I had to defeat to get to it. Probably the realization that it’s going to be a daunting process that will certainly take longer than I predict. I initially thought I might be done by the end of April, but the end of May is more realistic. Maybe by the time LOST wraps up for the season.
